Calls Best Practices
In this article we'll give a serie of hints to improve the efficiency of users work.
- Based on recent cold calling data, the best times to cold call a prospect are:
- Between 11 am and 2 pm
- Between 4 and 5 Pm
A good rule of thumb is to never call before 9 am, and to stop calling after 6 pm.
Most people are too busy getting ready for their day or work day before 9, and many are just leaving work or just sitting down to dinner after 6.
- Remember, the purpose of your call is to get information about their vehicle that hasn't already been listed in the ad
- Getting a VIN number, asking about the vehicle's history and jotting down the vehicle's options are all great talking points
- Unless it is brought up by the seller, try to avoid any discussion of selling them a new car. There should be no obligation for the seller to buy anything from you, nor should it be your priority during this transaction. If the sale of their car goes well, they may organically come to you for their future car needs, anyway
