Listings Best Practices
In this article, we'll explain a few tips and recommendations of how to work with listings in a more efficient way.
Listing History Interpretation
If there was a decrease in the listing price, this may give the user a bit of leverage with the seller to do some negotiation.
Possible reasons for price to decrease:
- The seller may need the money for an upcoming expense
- The vehicle has been online for too long, without much or any activity
Whatever the case may be, continue to follow up with the seller. They may be willing to negotiate the price even further.
Listing Descriptions
Don't rely too heavily on the description. Most of the information that you gather will be from running a Carfax history report and plugging the vin into your preferred appraisal tool. By doing the research yourself, you'll know that it is at least accurate and truthful.
Original Listing Button
If there is no phone number listed on the VDP, you will need to use this button in order to go to the original listing to manually engage with the seller outside of the platform.
